Getting there
Travel to Puebla
Most guests will fly into Mexico City (MEX), then travel about two hours to Puebla. Puebla's airport (PBC) is closer, but it has fewer flights. Check the visa note below before booking, especially if you hold an Indian passport.
Flying in
PBC · Puebla International Airport (Hermanos Serdán)
A 20–30 minute drive from the hotel. Most routes connect through another Mexican city, so compare the total trip with flying into MEX.
MEX · Mexico City International Airport
The easiest choice for most international guests. From MEX, allow about two hours to reach Puebla, plus traffic and airport time.
Mexico City to Puebla
Our shuttle bus~2 hoursWe will schedule these around the arrivals most guests share. Add your flight to your RSVP when it is booked; you can update it later.
ADO or Estrella Roja bus~2.5–3 hoursDirect buses leave both MEX terminals throughout the day. You can buy a ticket at the airport or in advance.
Private transfer~2 hoursDoor-to-door service from the airport to the hotel. Book ahead with a car service.
Rental car~1.5–2 hoursYou do not need a car for the wedding. If you rent one for a longer trip, use toll highway 150D and carry pesos for tolls.
Visas
Many guests will not need a Mexican tourist visa. Indian passport holders generally do, unless they also hold a valid visa or permanent residence for the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, or the Schengen area. Entry rules can change, so confirm your own requirements with a Mexican consulate before booking.
Arrival
Allow extra time for immigration and customs before an onward bus or transfer. Air travelers no longer complete a paper or electronic FMM before entry; Mexico's immigration authority creates the digital FMM record after arrival.
Passport
Mexico requires your passport to remain valid for your stay. Your airline or a transit country may have a longer validity rule, so check before you book.
Weather
Early March in Puebla is dry season. Expect warm, sunny days around 79°F (26°C) and cool nights near 49°F (9°C). Rain is unlikely.
Packing
Pack layers for warm days and cool nights. Puebla is about 7,000 feet above sea level, so take your first day gently, drink water, and use sunscreen.
Currency & payments
Cards are widely accepted, but carry some pesos for tips, taxis, and markets. Use an ATM attached to a bank when possible. A 10–15% restaurant tip is standard unless service is included.
Safety & practical guidance
Use the same care you would in any unfamiliar city. Watch your belongings in crowded places, use Uber or DiDi instead of hailing a taxi, and use ATMs attached to banks. The historic center is busy and walkable, including in the evening.
